Snapper Fishing in Pensacola

Snapper are a diverse group, but the stars of the show offshore of Pensacola are often Red Snapper and Vermilion Snapper. Red Snapper, with their distinctive red hue and powerful fight, are a highly prized catch. They inhabit natural and artificial reefs, as well as wrecks, where they feed on smaller fish and crustaceans. Vermilion Snapper, often called 'Beeliners', are smaller but incredibly abundant and make for excellent eating. Catching snapper involves precise bottom fishing. We'll anchor or drift over productive structure, dropping baits right to the bottom. The bite can be subtle, but once they commit, they pull hard, making for an exciting battle on the line.
